On March 2, 2025, at approximately 2:18 AM, San José Police Department Officers responded to the area of Park Lane and South White Road for a report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:
A 2005 gray Buick SUV, occupied by an adult male driver, was traveling southbound on South White Road in the area of Park Lane when it struck an adult male pedestrian, who was in the middle of the street outside of any marked crosswalk.
Medical personnel responded to scene where the pedestrian was ultimately pronounced deceased.
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
This was the 4th fatal collision and 4th traffic death of 2025. This was also the 4th pedestrian death of 2025.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office.
