SJPD Investigating Traffic Fatality #6

On February 18, 2025, at approximately 1:35 PM, San José Police Department Officers responded to the area of Almaden Expressway and Bryan Avenue for a report of a vehicle collision involving multiple vehicles. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:

A 2012 white Infiniti sedan, occupied by an adult male driver, was traveling southbound on Almaden Expressway at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The Infiniti sideswiped a 2015 blue Ford coupe that was occupied by an adult male driver. The Infiniti proceeded across the center median into oncoming traffic in the northbound lanes of Almaden Expressway. The Infiniti then collided head-on with a 2024 grey Hyundai sedan in the northbound lanes of Almaden Expressway. The Hyundai was occupied by solo female driver.   

The driver of the Hyundai was transported to a local hospital where their injuries were determined to be non-life threatening. 

The driver of the Infiniti was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries and later stabilized. 

On March 3, 2025, the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office notified SJPD that the driver of the Infiniti had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on March 2, 2025.  

This is the 6th fatal collision and 6th traffic death of 2025.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office.
