In November of 2024, the San José Police Department (SJPD) Human Trafficking Task Force (HTTF) launched a comprehensive investigation after an adult male suspect initiated communication with who he believed to be a juvenile female for prostitution. The suspect, identified as Kendrick Robinson, engaged in both online and phone communication to arrange commercial sex activities with the victim. HTTF Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for suspect Robinson.

With the support of the SJPD Special Operations M.E.R.G.E. Unit, Detectives arrested Suspect Robinson and booked him into Santa Clara County Main Jail for commercial sex trafficking.
