SJPD Arrests Five Sex Offenders

Between February 28th through March 9th, of 2025, five (5) separate registered sex offenders were found to be in violation of their sex registration duties. Investigators from the Megan’s Law Detail obtained warrants for their arrests. Officers working in patrol assisted investigators in locating and apprehending the suspects. The suspects were booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail. 

Three of the five suspects are registered sex offenders that fit specific criteria known as a “no post.” These registered sex offenders are not subject to public disclosure and the public cannot see them on the Megan’s Law public website. The SJPD Megan’s Law Detail is diligent in keeping families safe from sex offenders that the public are not aware of living in their communities.

The public is able to check their neighborhoods and school areas by utilizing the California Megan’s Law Website https://www.meganslaw.ca.gov/

Anyone with information on sex offenders that are in violation are urged to contact the Megan’s Law Detail of the San José Police Department’s Special Victims Unit via email: sjpdmeganslaw@sanjoseca.gov or by phone at (408) 277-4290.

Submit crime tips and remain anonymous by using the P3TIPS mobile app, calling the tip line at (408) 947-STOP, or on www.siliconvalleycrimestoppers.org. If the information you submit leads to an arrest, you are eligible for a cash reward from the Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers Program.
