SJPD Investigating Homicide #7

On April 3, 2025, at approximately 10:24 PM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a commercial parking lot in the 1700 Block of Berryessa Road for a report of a person down who was bleeding.  Upon arrival, they found an adult male victim who was not conscious or breathing. Medical personnel began life saving measures on scene and transported the victim to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased. Medical staff determined the victim had sustained at least one gunshot wound. The unidentified suspect had fled the area prior to police arrival. 

The SJPD Homicide Unit responded to the scene and is investigating the incident. 

The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after confirming the victim’s identity and notifying next of kin. 

This incident is being investigated as the City's 7th homicide of 2025.
