On February 12, 2025, at approximately 2:17 PM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a report of a shooting that occurred in the 800 block of Farm Drive. Upon arrival, Officers discovered a 19 year old male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officers immediately began life saving measures and summoned medical personnel to the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The San José Police Department Homicide Unit responded to the scene and began a comprehensive investigation into the incident. During the course of the investigation, Detectives pieced together clues obtained through video surveillance that indicated the incident was potentially gang motivated. Utilizing automated license plate reader cameras and other investigative techniques, Detectives identified the primary suspects as Nathaniel Henderson and Antonio Perez. Detectives later obtained warrants for their arrests and search warrants for their associated residences.
On April 9, 2025, Officers from the Covert Response Unit (CRU) and the Street Crimes Unit apprehended the two suspects in San José. Suspect Henderson and Suspect Perez were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for Murder.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office.
This incident was the City's 2nd homicide of 2025.
