On April 11, 2025, at approximately 10:50 AM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to the area of Lyric Lane and Otono Court for a report of a solo vehicle accident. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:

A 2006 white Kia Sedona, occupied by an adult female driver, was parked facing northbound on Lyric Lane on an incline. As the driver exited the vehicle, the vehicle started moving backwards, knocking down the victim and rolling over her. Medical personnel responded to the scene where they ultimately pronounced the driver deceased.   

This is the 8th fatal collision and 8th traffic death of 2025.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office.
