On July 1, 2025, at approximately 1:49 AM, San José Police Department Officers responded to the area of Parkmoor Avenue and Highway 280 off-ramp for a report of a solo vehicle traffic collision. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:
A 2015 gray Nissan SUV, occupied by an adult male driver, was traveling northbound on Highway 280 exiting Parkmoor Avenue. The vehicle continued across all three lanes of Parkmoor Avenue, when it struck a parked vehicle, and eventually collided into a tree.
The driver was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
This is the 13th fatal collision and 13th traffic death of 2025.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office.
