On May 9, 2025, at approximately 12:55 AM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a report of a robbery and brandishing of a firearm that occurred in the 15000 block of Charlotte Avenue. The adult male victim was attempting to sell a gaming console to the adult male suspect when the suspect assaulted the victim and brandished a firearm. The suspect took the console and told the victim he would kill him if he called police. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.
SJPD Robbery Unit Detectives began an extensive investigation and identified Lizandro Castillo as the suspect. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect and a search warrant for his associated residence.
On July 22, 2025, Suspect Castillo was arrested in the city of Sacramento and booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for robbery, brandishing a firearm, and for criminal threats.
