SJPD Arrests Suspect for Brandishing a Firearm in Public

On June 8, 2025, at approximately 8:42 AM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a report of a subject brandishing a firearm outside of a residence located in east San José. The adult male suspect and the adult female victim were in a verbal altercation when the suspect brandished a firearm, causing the victim to fear for her life.

SJPD Assaults Unit Detectives began an investigation and identified the suspect as Alejandro Villasenor Jr., who is prohibited from owning firearms. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Suspect Villasenor Jr. and a search warrant for his residence.

On October 9, 2025, Suspect Villasenor Jr. was located and arrested in the city of Santa Clara. The suspect was subsequently booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for brandishing a firearm and for being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.

During the execution of the search warrant, Detectives located two firearms and ammunition of various calibers.
