SJPD Investigates Homicide #24

On November 30, 2025, at approximately 7:28 PM, San José Police Department Officers responded to report of a hit and run collision in the area of Winchester Boulevard and Tisch Way in the city of San José. When Officers arrived on scene, they located an adult female pedestrian down in the roadway. Medical personnel transported the victim to a local hospital where she was ultimately pronounced deceased. Utilizing ALPR cameras, DOT Public Safety Cameras, and witness assistance, Officers located the suspect and suspect vehicle approximately 2 miles from the scene in the city of Santa Clara. The suspect was quickly taken into custody without incident and identified as 34-year-old Yanette Beas-Solorio. 

Preliminary information on scene indicated the collision was an intentional act, however, the motive and circumstances surrounding the event are still under investigation.  

Suspect Baes-Solorio was subsequently booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for murder. 

The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner.

This incident is being investigated as the City's 24th homicide of 2025.
