SJPD Seeking Public's Assistance in Identifying Assault Suspect

On December 17, 2025, at approximately 2:22 PM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to Peter's Bakery in the 3100 block of Alum Rock Avenue for a report of a vandalism and battery. The adult male suspect was attempting to sell products to the business and when the employee declined, the suspect became enraged and proceeded to damage items inside the business. An adult female victim, who was a store patron, was subsequently assaulted by the suspect after attempting to record the incident. The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated on scene by medical personnel. The unidentified suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.

SJPD Assaults Unit Detectives began an investigation and is now seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for the assault and vandalism.

The suspect is described as an adult male in his fifties, approximately 5'8"-5'10", with a medium athletic build. He was last seen wearing a black and orange hat with the letter "G" and a white patch on the front right surface of the bill. The suspect was also wearing a navy blue puffer vest, blue jeans with a black belt, and gray shoes with white soles. The suspect is believed to frequent establishments in east San José.

 


OUTSTANDING SUSPECT

 

Anyone with information regarding the unidentified suspect and this case is asked to contact Detective Lopes #4870 of the San José Police Department Assaults Unit via email: 4870@sanjoseca.gov or 408-277-4161.
