The San José Police Department is proud to announce the upcoming Spring Community Partnership Academy, an educational and engagement initiative designed to strengthen relationships between the Police Department and the community it serves.
We invite interested community members to apply for the upcoming Community Partnership Academy, a free 10-week program offered once a week starting on, Wednesday, March 18, 2026!
The Community Partnership Academy is designed to:
-
Create an informative and engaging experience while educating community members on the training, procedures, and the pressures associated with law enforcement.
- Allow the community to meet the men and women who serve them.
- Provide Police Department employees with the opportunity to meet and hear from the community they serve.
Registration is now open and available online by visiting www.sjpd.org/community/crime-prevention/community-partnership-academy. Registration will close on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Please visit our web page for additional information about the Academy.
The Community Partnership Academy provides community members with an inside look at how the San Jose Police Department operates. Through a series of interactive sessions, participants will learn about police practices, public safety strategies, and the challenges and responsibilities faced by law enforcement officers.
The academy also creates a space for open dialogue, allowing community members to ask questions, share perspectives, and build mutual understanding. By building stronger relationships and encouraging ongoing dialogue, the program supports SJPD’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and community-centered policing.
The academy emphasizes collaboration and encourages participants to become informed ambassadors who can help strengthen communication between the Police Department and the broader community.
For any further questions about the Community Partnership Academy contact the Crime Prevention Unit at (408) 277-4133 and speak with any of our Community Partnership Academy Planning Team staff members.
We look forward to welcoming you to our Spring Community Partnership Academy!
