MISSING PERSON ASSOCIATED VEHICLE IN-CUSTODY

 

On March 21, 2026, at approximately 6:56 AM, San José Police Department officers responded to the area of Francis Drive and McKee Road for a report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, officers located a severely decomposed body inside a vehicle.

The Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner responded and took custody of the decedent, who remains unidentified.

The San José Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in obtaining information related to the vehicle and its registered owner, who has been reported missing. The missing person, Aldama Refugio Jr., was last seen in early 2026.

Investigators believe foul play may be involved.

As part of the investigation, a red two door 2010 Nissan Frontier associated with Mr. Refugio has been recovered. A photograph of the vehicle and Mr. Refugio Jr. is being released in hopes it will assist the public in providing additional information.

Anyone who may have seen Mr. Refugio Jr., the vehicle, or has information related to this case is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Taylor #4257 or Detective Van Brande #4542 of the San José Police Department at 4257@sanjoseca.gov or 4542@sanjoseca.gov, or by phone at 408-504-1326.
