Post Date:05/01/2026 10:10 AM

MEDIA ADVISORY

The San José Police Department is seeking the public's assistance for a 2013 homicide of a 17-year-old male.

On February 13, 2013, at approximately 3:14 PM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a report of a person stabbed in the area of North 21st Street and Julian Street. Upon arrival, Officers located a 17-year-old male victim suffering from at least one stab wound. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene by medical personnel.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the unknown suspects were involved in a physical altercation with the victim. During the altercation, the victim was subsequently stabbed, and the suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival. SJPD Homicide Unit Detectives began an investigation into the incident. Detectives believe at least two suspects were involved, and that the stabbing was gang-motivated.

As part of our ongoing commitment to investigating cold cases, the SJPD Homicide Unit is now asking for the public’s assistance in providing any information that can lead to the identification and arrest of the suspects involved.
