On June 11, 2026, at approximately 11:45 PM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a report of a stabbing at an apartment in the 80 Block of Descanso Drive. Upon arrival, Officers located an adult male and an adult female, both suffering from at least one stab wound. Medical personnel were summoned to the scene and both parties were transported to local hospitals with life threatening injuries. Despite medical intervention, the adult female victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased. The preliminary investigation revealed the adult male to be responsible for the stabbing and was known to the victim. He will be identified at a later date.
The SJPD Homicide Unit responded to the scene and is investigating the incident.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the event are still under investigation.
This incident is being investigated as the City's 11th homicide of 2026.
