SJPD Investigating Traffic Fatality #20 of 2026

On June 12, 2026, at approximately 6:30 AM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a fatal traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the area of Glen Donegal Drive and Glen Ferguson Court. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:

A 2010 silver Nissan sedan, driven by an adult female, was traveling eastbound on Glen Donegal Drive, east of Glen Ferguson Court, when it struck an adult female pedestrian. The pedestrian was crossing Glen Donegal Drive in a southbound direction and was outside any marked crosswalk at the time of the collision. 

The pedestrian succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.

This incident marks the city’s 20th fatal collision and 20th traffic-related death of 2026. This is also the 9th pedestrian death of 2026.  

The identity of the decedent will be released by the Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner.
