Join millions of neighbors across the nation for National Night Out on the evening of Tuesday, August 4, 2026. National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood spirit, making our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. You can participate by registering your event locally through the San José Police Department National Night Out Online Registration Form.
Our National Night Out registration deadline is coming up! Please register by or before Sunday, July 12, 2026 on our SJPD National Night Out webpage.
Registration is free! Your event must be registered locally with SJPD to make it possible for police and other city representatives to visit.
If your National Night Out event requires special permits, there is still time to submit permit applications. Please visit our SJPD National Night Out webpage for more details about contacting the appropriate department for specific permit information.
For any further questions about National Night Out contact the Crime Prevention Unit at (408) 277-4133 and speak with any of our National Night Out Planning Team staff members.
