SJPD Arrests Two Juvenile Suspects for Multiple Robberies

 On April 24, 2026, at approximately 6:46 PM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery that occurred in the area of Dobern Avenue and Penrod Place. The juvenile male victim was attempting to sell merchandise to a buyer he met via an online platform. When he met the suspect buyer, another male suspect arrived and brandished a firearm at the victim. The suspects took various items from the victim and fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Subsequently, on April 28, 2026, at approximately 7:30 PM, SJPD Patrol Officers responded to an armed robbery that occurred in the 2400 block of Dobern Avenue. An adult male victim was also attempting to sell merchandise to a buyer he met via an online platform when the suspects brandished a firearm and forcibly took the items.

SJPD Robbery Unit Detectives began a comprehensive investigation into the incidents and identified two 15-year-old juvenile males as the primary suspects responsible for both armed robberies. Detectives obtained arrests warrants for both suspects, and search warrants for their associated residences.

On July 14, 2026, with the assistance of the SJPD Covert Response Unit, Detectives located and arrested one juvenile suspect in the city of Milpitas and the other juvenile suspect in the city of San José. During the execution of the search warrant, Detectives located evidence of the crime, including some of the stolen merchandise.

Both suspects were booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall for armed robbery.
