Suspect Julio Carrasco-Diaz
ARRESTED

The San José Police Department’s Sexual Assault Investigations Unit (SAIU) arrested Julio Cesar Carrasco-Diaz, a resident of San Jose for Lewd or Lascivious Acts upon a Child Under 14 Years Old- 288(a)(1) PC (Felony). Carrasco-Diaz was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for multiple counts of sexual abuse of a child.

The suspect worked at a licensed residential daycare facility in the 1300 block of McGinness Ave. The victim reported being sexually assaulted by the suspect at the daycare. The incidents in this case occurred over a period of several years (2011-2019). These incidents were recently reported and we believe there could be more victims because of the suspect’s employment status at the time of the abuse. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara Couny Jail on November 22, 2021.
