With the rise of online shopping and package delivery, safety has evolved. Follow some important tips to ensure your package is safe from purchase to delivery.

• Purchase items from legitimate websites using credit cards, not debit cards.
• Track your packages closely and sign up for delivery alerts (text/email).
• Schedule deliveries for days or times when someone is home.
• Choose in-store pickup instead of delivery
• Use delivery instructions like “leave at side door” or out-of-sight areas, or purchase a secure drop box.
• Require a signature confirmation for high-value items.
• Ship to a Secure location, such as the workplace, a trusted neighbor/family member or retail pickup locations (Amazon Locker, store pickup, etc.)
• Bring packages inside immediately.
• If you’re away, ask a neighbor to grab the package.
