SJPD arrests suspect for sexual assault

San Jose, Calif. - The San Jose Police Department’s Megan’s Law Unit has arrested a suspect for sexual assault.   On July 26, 2016 investigators were contacted by a 33 year old victim who reported a sexual assault.  The suspect Evans is alleged to have sexually assaulted the victim several times in July 2016.

Detectives assigned to the case conducted extensive follow-up, leading to the identification and arrest of suspect Evans. Suspect Evans was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on a warrant for multiple counts of Sexual Assault.
 
Investigators are seeking persons with information regarding encounters with the suspect Evans to contact Detective Sergeant Marfia, Detectives Buhay or Pham of the San Jose Police Department's 290/Megan's Law Unit at (408) 277-4102.
