Homicide Investigation 11-17-16: 2100 block of Turnhouse Lane

Suspect: Cuc Thi Nguyen

San Jose: On Thursday, November 17, 2016, at approximately 1:05 PM, officers responded to the 2100 block of Turnhouse Lane on a report of a possible dead body.  Upon arrival officers located an adult male, later identified as victim Sinh Nguyen, outside the residence deceased. 

Follow-up investigation revealed the victim's wife, Cuc Nguyen, was responsible for the homicide. An autopsy determined the victim died as a result of blunt force trauma. 

On the previous day, Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at approximately 10:57 AM, officers responded to a medical call along with the San Jose Fire Department on the 2900 block of South White Road.  Suspect Cuc was located inside a vehicle suffering from what was believed to be a medical condition.  The suspect was transported to a local area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.  At this time it is presumed the suspect died as a result of a suicide pending the official autopsy by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office.  

This is the City's 45th homicide of 2016.
