SJPD arrests Asst Coach for Sexual Intercourse w/ a Minor & Lewd Acts w/ a Minor

Suspect: Enoch Garcia
San Jose, Calif. - The San Jose Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC)/Child Exploit Detail (CED) task force arrested 21 year old San Jose resident Enoch Garcia for 2 counts of Penal Code 261.5(c) — Sexual Intercourse w/ a Minor &  2 counts of Penal Code 288a(b)(1) — Lewd and Lascivious Acts w/ a Minor (Felonies).  

The suspect, who is an assistant track coach at Mt. Pleasant High School, had a sexual relationship with a 17 year old student and a 14 year old student enrolled at Mt. Pleasant High School.  The suspect was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.   

Preliminary investigation revealed that on March 14, 2016, a school district employee contacted San Jose Police in regards to an inappropriate relationship between a student and the assistant track coach at Mt. Pleasant High School.  Detectives interviewed the involved parties and determined that the above listed crimes were alleged to have been committed by suspect Garcia. 

On March 15, 2016 San Jose Police Department's ICAC/CED Unit interviewed the suspect and he was subsequently arrested for the listed offenses.  The suspect was booked into the County Jail.
