UPDATE: Homicide Suspect Arrested for 5-20-16 Homicide in the 500 block of Bonita Ave

Suspect Anthony James Torrez-Castro

**UPDATE: 5-24-16**

Follow-up investigation revealed Suspect Anthony James Torrez-Castro, the victim's son, as the person responsible for this homicide. The Santa Clara County Coroner's Office determined the cause of death was a result of blunt force trauma. Torrez-Castro was arrested on Sunday, 5-22-16, in Fremont. Torrez-Castro was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for murder. No additional details will be provided about the investigation.  

San Jose: On Friday, May 20, 2016, at 6:50 PM, San Jose Police officers responded to the 500 block of Bonita Ave. on a report of a possible dead body. Officers arrived and pronounced the adult male victim deceased. San Jose Police Homicide detectives are waiting for the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office to determine the victim's manner and cause of death.
