SJPD asking for the Public's Assistance Locating known Kidnapping Suspect

The San Jose Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a known kidnapping suspect.

On August 29, 2016 at approximately 5:00 PM, a suspect later identified as David Lee Russell physically assaulted and attempted to kidnap a young female victim in the area of Meridian Avenue and Hamilton Avenue

On September 1, 2016 at approximately 5:00 PM, Russell again physically assaulted and attempted to kidnap another young female in the area of Hillsdale Avenue and Narvaez Avenue

Russell is a convicted sex offender with prior violent assaults against women and is considered extremely dangerous. Russell is a transient known to frequent San Jose. 

Russell is described as a white male adult, 56 years old, about 5’10”, 200 lbs, with gray salt-and-pepper type hair and goatee, and is believed to be driving a newer model white Nissan Rogue with no plates.

Anyone with information regarding Russell’s location are asked to contact Detective Michael White #4104 of the San Jose Police Department's Robbery Unit at (408) 277-4166.
