UPDATE:SJPD identify suspect in connection with the Booksin Elementary Shooting

UPDATE: 11/28/2017

Follow-up investigation by Assault detectives lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect responsible for the discharging of a firearm at Booksin Elementary School.  Suspect Nicholas O'Connor was taken into custody at his residence.  The suspect was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for 626.9(b)PC - Possessing a firearm in a school zone, 626.9(d)PC - Discharging a firearm in a school zone, 247PC - Discharging a firearm at an uninhabited building, and 594PC - Vandalism. 

SAN JOSE, CA On Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at 3:49 AM, San Jose Police officers responded to a weapons call in the area of Booksin Elementary School in San Jose.  The reporting party called police to report a male shooting a gun in the area.  Officers set-up a perimeter around the school and conducted a search of the area.  The suspect was not located at that time.

Investigators from the SJPD Assaults Unit took over this investigation.  On Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at 8:01PM  a suspect was arrested and who is believed to be responsible for this shooting.  The investigation is on-going.  More information will be made available tomorrow.
