San Jose, Calif. - On Monday, September 23, 2019, at about 9:56 PM, San Jose police officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 5200 block of Monterey Road in San Jose. Arriving officers located victim Kiia Morris suffering from at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Follow-up investigation by homicide detectives led to the identification of suspect Jennifer Del Real Sanchez. On Wednesday, December 4, 2019, the San Jose Police Department’s Covert Response Unit (CRU) arrested Sanchez in San Jose and booked her into Santa Clara County Jail for murder.
